At the Lachute Hospital, on October 26, 2026, Brenda Ann Lawrence passed away at the age of 102.

She leaves to mourn her children: Richard (known as Zeke), Carol Ann, Philip (Marg), and Eddy (Barbara, known as Bobby). She was predeceased by her son Michael.

She also leaves behind her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and descendants spanning five generations.

Brenda was recognized as the oldest living veteran of the Canadian Women’s Army Corps (CWAC), having served as a communications specialist in Canada.

Her remarkable life was a testament to courage, service, and devotion to her country.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Salon Roland Ménard Inc., located at 395 Grâce Street, Lachute, Quebec, J8H 1M3. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
